Courageous Hope

I am Shayla Raymond.

I am a lover of God. But I am becoming more aware of His love for me and that He loved me first and I am stumbling my way through loving Him back with all my heart, mind and soul.

I am a wife of 10 years to one man who calls out the greatness in me and holds my hand as we journey deeper into God.

I am mama to two of the sweetest kisses from Heaven I’ve ever known. I am so amazed and humbled that I get to be their mother.

I am a writer of the many stirrings in my heart and mind.

I am a worshipper of the God who created all.

I am a dancer of the movement He gives me.

I am interested in all things natural: from nutrition & medicine to home birth & breastfeeding. But all that is trumped by my interest in the super-natural… I life lived led by the Spirit.

In the past you might have found me on a ropes course, teaching at risk youth, running around like a mad-woman, directing a mission camp, looking for ways to change the world or embark on the next adventure. Currently you will find me at home raising two little world changers, homeschooling, home-keeping (sometimes), dancing in my living room, frolicking in creation whenever possible (one can never frolic too much), hunting down moments when Heaven kisses earth and whenever possible…resting in His presence. Along the way I’m finding my voice and processing the journey through words here in this space.
